MoneyWell Express is a top-to-bottom redesign of MoneyWell for iPhone to create the fastest tool for capturing financial transactions on the go.

The Perfect Companion

MoneyWell Express is the perfect companion app for MoneyWell on your Mac. Add a purchase while youre at the mall and its there on your Mac when you get home. Download activity from your bank on your Mac and your balances are current when you run MoneyWell Express.

Include as many iPhones as you like running MoneyWell Express. This means that no matter where you are, both you and your spouse will see the same bucket and account balances. MoneyWell Express eliminates overspending by keeping everyone on the same page.

Direct Navigation

As we developed MoneyWell Express, we studied the navigation process and refined it so you can get to any major screen with a single tap. The crisp, new tab bar gives you direct access to Activity, Accounts, Buckets, and Settings.

While analyzing the flow, we asked ourselves, "What do we do most often?" We all agreed it was capturing transactions while at a store or restaurant. Thats why theres a beautiful and prominent New Transaction button in the bottom center of the new tab bar. A perfect fit for your fingertip.

Faster Additions

Its no good having your finances in your pocket if you cant quickly record your purchases. Who wants a read-only app that only updates your balances a day or two later?

Thats why we focused much of our time on making sure you could add a transaction in MoneyWell Express before your latte is ready or your groceries are bagged.

Every tap is essential and every visual has been polished to make MoneyWell Express a joy to use.

Background Sync

Do you hate waiting for syncs to finish in your apps? We certainly do. Thats why we reworked the sync in MoneyWell Express to make it faster, and then we threw it in the background.

Syncing is now automatic on every launch, save, or exit of MoneyWell Express. The Settings gear icon spins to let you know a sync is occurring, but you never have to wait for it.

Get in, record your purchase, and get out. Your financial data is safely and securely synced to your Mac without making you wait or worry.

Every icon, every background, and every control in MoneyWell Express is new and improved. We have worked hard to make sure all the graphics are meaningful and gorgeous on Retina displays. You can focus on viewing your financial information without any visual clutter.

It looks great but I still have problem with sync. The last transaction that I entered on my Mac does not appear
This is a fantastic app. Efficient and effective for syncing and a complementing app for the Mac version. The sync has always been my biggest issue with this software. Much improvement has been made but still only 95% consistent. Once they get it 100% Ill give five stars.
The sync with other devices was pretty shaky in earlier versions, but it has improved greatly along with all the other features. Just remember that this is a mobile transaction entry program for the desktop program and on-the-go bucket checker and keep your expectations in line with that idea.
The app is improving reliability wise in terms of sync. That was an achilles heel for this app on launch. Though I miss the standalone app that MoneyWell once was, I understand the developers decision to go with Express. MoneyWell is the smartest and best budgeting app for Mac and iPhone. The more popular ones dont compare. I would really like to see bucket budget control return sooner than later (the fundamental method of managing your money with this app), and support for tags like the Mac version. One thing I can say without a doubt is that the developers of MoneyWell have fantastic support and are going to be around to look after this app for a long time to come. Looking forward to the iPad version. One gripe is that the icon needs to change. Older versions were so much better, but I am sure that iOS 7 will force a rethink on presentation.
Theres a bit of a learning curve and it was a pain to get set up initially but now that I have it set up, I love it. Previously, I used two programs (Numbers and iBank) to keep track of my funds, now I do both with this program. I love that I can add purchases on my iPhone and the sync feature ensures that my computer is updated! Again, it was frustrating to start up but if you stick with it, once you get it, youll love it.
Fast, reliable and elegant. Love the iPad version as well. If you use MoneyWell on the Mac, then MoneyWell Express is a no-brainer.

Some bad moments

I really wish the app had Tag support. I also hope when this app is refreshed that it gets a UI design like Saver 2, which looks incredibly gorgeous. The background syncing could also be massively improved. I feel like I have to wait for it and its seemingly never-ending progress bar that doesnt any real progress visual feedback, because it only displays single items that its syncing instead of a progress bar that at 100% visually is DONE syncing. In Moneywell, tags is a big one, and should be on the iPhone and iPad clients, especially iPhone, as tagging items when youre out doing things is important to sort categories quickly (ie: Tax Writeoffs) instead of having to remember to do it when you get home which is really frustrating.

They switched the sync option from wifi to dropbox to supposedly offer a better synchronization process, but most of my accounts will be out of sync in just a few days and the only option to fix it is to delete the app and start from scratch. Their support forum is close to useless. Dont waste your money
I have the Mac client as well, which is great but this express doesnt cut it. The syncing is really bad. I frequently have to delete the app and sometimes even the Dropbox files.

Issues appeared just at first database sync, which was too big disappointment.
